Cadillac Unveils the CT5-V Blackwing, and it’s Awesome!
In the midst of everything that is going on right now, Cadillac has just revealed some heart-warming automotive news for all of us car enthusiasts! This just in, Cadillac has unveiled the CT5-Blackwing, and it’s awesome. The CT5-Blackwing is kicking things up a notch as the new must-have model from Cadillac. Equipped with an updated-version of the CTS-V’s Supercharged 6.2L V8, the CT5-Blackwing will boast 650 horsepower along with the option of either a 10-speed automatic or 6-speed manual. Yes you read that right, that was no error. A 6-speed manual transmission is going to be available as an option for the CT5-Blackwing!
In an age where the manual transmission is going away and being replaced by lightning quick shifting automatic transmissions, the car enthusiast in all of us desires a manual transmission every so often. Why is that? Well, sometimes there is nothing better than hammering through the gears and feeling the road. There’s a reason Aston Martin and Porsche still create manual transmission, and Cadillac has found that same reasoning. Expected to become available late 2020, a starting MSRP of around $85,000 can be expected from the 4-door land rocket. The CT5-Blackwing will be quite the competitor to the Mercedes-Benz E63s AMG, Audi RS7, and the BMW M5 in regard to performance. Although when talking about price, Cadillac will surely be a considerably cheaper option when compared to the other three. In addition to the lower price-point, Cadillac’s option for a 6-speed manual transmission in the CT5-V will also weigh as a most-desirable trait. It is good to see specific automotive traits are still being given life, considering the automotive world is in a time of engineering innovation.
We are very excited to have a new 4-door performance sedan on the plate, we will only have to wait for additional details from Cadillac. As soon as they surface, Tialg will keep you in the loop.
