The all new C8 Corvette Z06 is coming soon, real soon! This just in, Chevrolet/GM has released an early teaser image of the all new C8 Corvette Z06 ahead of its’ official late October debut. We’re already big fans of the standard C8 Corvette, and the C8 Corvette Z06 looks even better. Of course for the sake of “Z06”, looks aren’t everything and we’ve got to talk about performance.
The new C8 Z06 will be utilizing the same Naturally Aspirated 5.5L V8 found in the C8.R Race Car, Chevrolet’s vehicle of choice for endurance racing such as GT Le Mans! What we do know is the C8 Z06 will pack more than 600 horsepower and is expected to come with a rev limit between 8500 and 9000 rpm. Pictured above is the soon-coming standard C8 Z06 without the additional Z07 Performance Package. Pictured below is a standard brand new C8 for comparison:
The Z07 Performance Package for the new C8 Corvette Z06 will additionally come with an upgraded front splitter, carbon ceramic brakes, bigger rear wing, carbon-fiber wheels, upgraded suspension, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires. Needless to say, we’re excited for both the brand new C8 Z06 and the C8 Z06 w/ Z07 Performance Package. As mentioned earlier, Chevrolet/GM have planned for a late October 2021 debut, between October 23rd – October 26th. Until then, we’ll just have to wait!
