Aston Martin is bringing back the beloved V12 Vantage, though not for reasons we think. The bringing back of the Aston Martin V12 Vantage isn’t just for fun, it’s a send-off. “Send-off to what?” you might be asking. Our take, Aston’s V12 lineup. With Aston’s statement of calling the upcoming V12 Vantage a “Finale” and their switch years ago to Mercedes-AMG’s 4.0L Twin-Turbocharged V8 platform, there’s almost no need for their V12 anymore. We’ve been seeing the killing off of the V12 for a long time now, but that doesn’t make it any less easier to take in. Enough with the sad news, let’s be excited a new V12 Vantage is on the way!
As of now, there are not many details but there are some. We do know the Aston Martin V12 Vantage will go on sale in 2022 and it will contain a 5.2L Twin-Turbocharged V12. What we can hope, is that it is the same one fitted in the DBS. That would pack 715 horsepower and 663 torque in a small Vantage, just like the V12 Vantage traditionally is! The V12 Vantage has always been a small car packed with a big engine and crazy power, kind of like an adult go kart. The last Aston Martin V12 Vantage that existed was the Vantage V600 in 2018, which was extremely limited and utilized the same V12 engine that was in the Aston Martin Vantage GT12. At that time, 592 horsepower and 461 torque combined with a 7-speed manual powered the Vantage. We’re hoping this time around, it’s the upgraded V12 within the DBS as said before combined with the DBS’ 8-Speed Automatic Transmission.

Let’s remember to be excited about the V12 Vantage and to not be upset over the V12, this is a celebratory moment!
